Title: Is it possible to assign Names to MACs on my LAN ?
Post by: wayneh on August 20, 2010, 08:47:50 AM
Hi -

I just replaced a router using DD-WRT with a DIR-655.

I have some network connected devices that do no inherently have names.
With DD-WRT I could assign a name to a specific MAC address (not a fixed IP)

Can I do this with the DIR-655 ?
If so, how?

Thanks....

So it won't take DNSMasq commands either?

No idea what happens if your run DNSMasq from a Linux server in your LAN. But the DIR cannot be modified itelf (that was your question).
