Hi i have a Dir-655 and am having some problems with lag spikes on games. My connection ranges from 85-100% . Iv been looking at a lot of different post all over the net but coudent really find a fix. The only thing i was thinkin is that my wireless network card doesnt support N but even so it seems that my speed is fine.

Try to act some more and confirm that you can/cannot support N with your NIC. It's a bit difficult to give you a fix with no information about your setup and configutration. If you tell the doctor: "I feel some pain" you won't get a medicin that fixes all.... :)
Gaming through wireless G networks is certainly not advised since you kmight experience ...lag.

well am pretty new to all this so am not sure what info you would need? Can you tell me what info and how to get it? Am pretty sure i can use N cuz my wirecard on my comp is (USB Wireless 802.11 b/g Adaptor #2)

No, your wireless card does not support wireless N. With that description you most probably have a Realtek 8187 wireless card. Which in B/G only.

is that the reason why i get lag spikes?

k update i went and bought a dwa-160 and switched over to N mode.. now my signal is worse went from around 80-100% with G to 10-45% with N

Fiddle around with your router's antennas. You need proper alignment for N. Otherwise try different channel.
Did you check all settings in your setup/NIC driver? Enable 20/40 Mhz (auto) ect. Also, read the 300 Mbps manual/sticky in this forum.
