Hi,
I just got a DIR 615 to replace my old DLink wireless g router. Plugged in (using correct power supply) all lights are on and glowing steady. My computer cannot detect it even wired directly into the router. I have tried pressing reset, but it doesn't seem to make a difference. I bought it second hand....is it broken or am I doing something wrong?

All lights are lit even if not all LAN ports have computers connected to them?

I have the same problem. There was a power cut and when the power returned, all LEDs on my d-link dir-615 blinked about 10 times then now all, but two, are stuck on. No holding down reset button and playing with power supply made any difference. They no longer blink but simply remain lit when power is supplied.
I see that, on another thread, a d-link rep (talking about another product) said, "if their switch looks more like a Christmas tree [then] it's beyond repair."
Mine looks very festive. Replacement is the only option, I fear.

Like any other appliances, power surge could damage routers. If all the LAN lights are lit even if nothing is connected to them, i suggest you buy a new one or have it replaced
