Title: Shareport and Borther HL2140 - no go?
Post by: MrBOFH on August 28, 2010, 08:52:33 AM
Just got a Brother HL-2140 and hooked it up my DNS-323 which has the shareport add-on installed. Installed the latest shareport on my W7 HP 64bit. The tool sees the printer just fine. Hpwever, when I try to print to it, the shareport tool keeps on telling me that the HL-2140 did not disconnect properly and keeps on reprinting the 1st page. I stopped shareport and hooked the printer directly up to my Win 7 box. No issues printing that way.

Does anybody have a solution for this? I'd like to be able to hook up the 2140 to my DNS-323 and use it as a networked printer for my 3 Win 7 HP 64bit boxes.

Thanks

Good luck with that. I have a Brother HL-1230 that prints fine when connected directly to my windows 7x64 PC. When using Shareport however it prints the first page fine but after that all I get is garbage. It just keeps printing pages with one line of garbled text until I turn it off and clear the print cue.  >:(
