Title: DCS-2121 playback issue, please help
Post by: SandStorm on September 02, 2010, 05:34:00 AM
Hi,

I have a site that runs 5 x DCS-2121's with the round base/stand/bracket, and 2 x DCS-2121's with the U-shaped 'gooseneck' base/stand/bracket.

The former (5) run firmware version 1.00 and the latter (2) run firmwarer version 1.04.

I have no reason to upgrade the older ones, because they are doing what is required.

The problem is with the newer 2.

All 7 cameras are set to record (triggered) to a SAMBA share on the network. (Provided by a Western Digital MyBook World Edition  1tb NAS drive). This works 100%, the files are created, including all access rights, etc.

Playback with Windows Media Player (On WinXP and Win7) is perfect for the 5 older models, but fails entirely with the newer at XGA resolution but works fine on VGA resolution.

I would like to record all videos in 1024x768

Any advice?
