I have DLink DIR-655 Hardware: A4, Firmware: 1.32NA and I am trying to upgrade the firmware to DIR655A4_FW134NAb03.bin and it says it upgraded but when the router restarts the Firmware stays as: 1.32NA.
Is my router upgradeable? Am I missing something? Please help, as I am having some WAN Slow problems with this router to almost needing to power down and up to make it work. I have lot of devices at home needing this router to work.
Thank you in advance for any help.

reset your router to defaults then do the firmware upgrade over a wired connection.

Thank you very much. That worked like a charm. How come it's not documented in the release file!

This is considered to be general knowledge with all brands of routers and probably is mentioned also in the manual (did not check though).
