Title: LED's on the Router
Post by: Servercat on September 14, 2010, 05:12:48 PM
Sorry if I missed this, I have bad search-fu. :( Is there anyway to turn off or dim the LED's on the router? I love the router, but I keep this in my bedroom and the LEDs illuminate the whole room at night o.0

I agree, their blue Leds are too shiny ... i couldn't find either a way to turn this off, so I had to use black masking tape

Usually a strip of window tint material (used on car windows) will work.  You should be able to pick up a scrap for zero cost at any window tint business in your area.  If a single layer doesn't work try two or three.  Another solution, just turn the router around so it faces another direction.

Cheers

I keep the router in the room next to my bedroom - makes a nice night light!
