Hi All,
[INFO] Wed Sep 15 07:48:58 2010 greenlantern: Wireless system with MAC address #########A#A disconnected for reason: Authentication Failed

Normally this occurs during the boot-up process connecting to the Router.
Question: Could this be as a result of the Software Firewall, blocking ports to the Router from the operating system? And the Router polling devices connected to it?
I am seeing McAfee Personal Firewall blocking elements of the Home Network in its logs. Rather than be quick to blame D-Link, I thought I would ask here.

I think you have some WEP or WPA protection set up and the NIC isn't identifying properly.

im having a similar problem, but my message ends with: "disconnected for deauthentication".
Theres a new driver for my NIC at Gigabyte site. Should i give it a try?

My Adapter is the D-Link DWA-552 with 1.70 D-Link Drivers only installed.
I would say to check the Software Firewall logs and see if you are being blocked.
