Title: Authentication Failed

Hi All,

Normally this occurs during the boot-up process connecting to the Router.

Question: Could this be as a result of the Software Firewall, blocking ports to the Router from the operating system? And the Router polling devices connected to it?

I am seeing McAfee Personal Firewall blocking elements of the Home Network in its logs. Rather than be quick to blame D-Link, I thought I would ask here.

I think you have some WEP or WPA protection set up and the NIC isn't identifying properly.

Most of the time its a driver problem. Try the new driver

Hi alien,

My Adapter is the D-Link DWA-552 with 1.70 D-Link Drivers only installed.

I would say to check the Software Firewall logs and see if you are being blocked.
