Title: Video from DNS 323 Troubleshooting
Post by: Spade J on September 27, 2010, 12:42:01 AM
I have noticed when I watch video from DNS 323 using media player (WD Live) and my netbook.  The video seems choppy then it frozen but audio or subtitles still running...   I have download video file to my netbook from DNS 323 and watched video from netbook HDD, it was smooth.  How can I solve the problem?

How is your DNS-323 connected to your network?
How is your WD Live/laptop connected to your network?

The cause is going to be your network speed.

Could also be an issue if you are using the media server. My WD TV Live works just fine using a SMB share.

DNS323 connected to wireless router (LAN)
WDLIVE connected to wireless router (LAN)
netbook connected by wireless

SMB?

Try connecting your netbook and WDLive to your network via a wired connection and see if that resolves your issue.  It's likely that the bottleneck is the throughput from your router to your wireless device.
