Title: Router Problems and Questions

I've got a Dlink Dir-655, I've had it for about 2.5 years now. A2 rev.

Current Problems

Wifi Drops, Laptop seems to lose wifi connection, same with Iphones
Range seems to have dropped
Very Hot to the touch

I tired to replace it with a netgear 3500 recently but that just opened up a new can of issues lol . I'm wondering if it makes sense to replace this router with a new one (A4 or A5 rev) I run a lot of devices in my house of it. As for the Wireless range issue, I cant be a 100% certain ive had good coverage in my bed room, so I was looking at getting another router for a repeater for it.

Same symptoms here.  The wireless range seems to be degrading as the unit ages.

I suspect that there is thermal breakdown occurring within the ICs.  I'm looking for a good replacement.
