Title: DIR-615 DNS Address Problem With Firmware 3.13NA
Post by: NightMayor on October 02, 2010, 11:08:39 PM
Hello! I have a D-Link DIR-615, Hardware Version C1. The DNS issue I have is when check "Enable Advanced DNS Service" or input any other DNS Addresses in the "Manual Internet Connection Setup" page it does not connect to the internet but when there are no special DNS Addresses put, it works fine. :-\ This problem only happens on the 3.13NA Firmware with the previous Firmware using the specific DNS addresses just fine. Any ideas?  ???

DSL or Cable? If DSL, what kind of modem are you using? Also, with no DNS entered and online, can you ping those DNS servers from you computer?

Start > Run > CMD > ping "insert dns server here without quotes"

Hello I am using DSL and my modem is a TP-LINK TD-8616 (http://www.tp-link.com/products/productDetails.asp?pmodel=TD-8616). I can ping those servers from my computer and I get these results:

    Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 4, Lost = 0 (0% loss),

Also I'm trying to use specifically the OpenDNS servers to input into the router but it does not work.  :(
