Title: Folder from Nas doesn't show up in 750 Library when used as MCE extender
Post by: dingbass on October 11, 2010, 11:36:12 AM
Hey everyone
I have done a few searches and have not come up with an answer to this one but if it has been asked and answered sorry, and please point me in the right direction.

Equipment:
DIR 825
DNS 323
DSM 750 (Wired)
Vista MCE (Wired)

So I have the DNS set up and mapped in vista; i can see and access all of the files and folders on the DNS through the vista computer itself and I have set two folders as watch folders. When I try to add additional watch folders through the DSM 750's Media center interface the folders do not show up anywhere.

Any solutions, or work arounds?

thanks

You have to add the folder on the extender. So on the DSM-750 connect to MCE and add the location. The extender and PC profile in MCE are not the same settings.

Have you done this? My Nas doesn't even show up in the list of options to add. additionally Neither do any of the other computers on my network with shared folders.
