Title: Help on how to block ports
Post by: gr3nad3 on October 13, 2010, 03:35:04 PM
I have dir-825 revA firmware 113na. I am very computer savvy, but I still cannot figure out how to block specific ports on my router. I'm testing to see if it is blocking by running a bit-torrent application. I have tryed blocking the port by telling it to deny incoming access in port forwarding. I have also tryed to have it block access by using the access restriction option, but its asking for an IP-address which when going through bit-torrent there really isn't one to block. So im stuck there. I'm trying to do this for my xbox 360 but I am testing to see if this is even possible with bit-torrent first

Is there another proper way to block access, I just want to block the ports. Is this even possible or am I doing something wrong. Is there another thread someone could point me to? I have a couple links to pictures at the bottom of the page.

And if no-one can figure it out at the least can someone tell me if other d-link routers have this same interface
