i did the simple chg & my i see a good increase in copying access, etc to the dns-323's of which i have 2

I'm glad to see you are fully recovered since yesterday.
So what is the simple change?

hvent recovered(wish it was possible)just kept that msg here until i could fi x the erors (wifw was home 2 help) i figured this was important.(if u meant me)
in win 7 turn off the home groups

Thanks for the tip. I disabled HomeGroup and did the encryption change, my robocopy took the same amount of time. Speeds in 3 out of 4 copies were faster - but the last copy was slower. I'm sceptical that there is a difference.

i haven't used Robi\ocopy but under reg copy or using dopus there is def an icrease on my end (i see it with every copy but all the stuff i copy is 600+ megs.

I tried both fixes, exactly the same benchmark results on this Win7 machine.

Thank you for your suggestion. I actually I already had home groups off since I never had any use for them.
