Title: IP address takes me to Motorola, not Dlink; why?
Post by: jiterdancr on October 18, 2010, 11:41:33 AM
I have a Motorola Modem Surfboard; using Dlink Range Extender router.  Want to change channels to try to get better reception in other parts of my house, but can't get there.  When I type in the default IP address, I go to Motorola's login page.

Novice at this.

If you are accessing the Motorola's login page, it would seem that you might not be accessing the extender, or router, correctly.  Please explain what "devices" you have and how they are all connected together.

Also, please note that some "broadband" modem can also use the same IP address as the default one used by most routers.
