Title: A FIX for Vista 32, DWA-552 and the dreaded BSD
Post by: Panman on April 07, 2008, 01:08:39 PM
I had the BSD problem as well and tech support was unable to help me, so with 35 years of technology behind me, I trudged on.

This is how I fixed my problem, I hope it helps you.

config:
Vista 32 Home Premium
DWA552
DIR655

BSD every time I loaded V1.30 of the dwa drivers.

First:  I followed these directions first: http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=616.0  to set the DIR-655 correctly.

Second: then loaded the drivers that came with the dwa, not sure ( I think 1.2) of the version because it's RUNNING at 300Mbps and I don't want to breathe on it yet.

It ran all night and all day without error AND it still cranking at 300Mps.  HDTV looks great over 300Mbps via the HDHomerun.
