What advantage does it offer over Transmission? It would be nice to have choices, but without a particular reason to switch I'm happy with what I'm already running.

this thread says a bit more about it- i like the sound of it

I like the sound of it too. I have used utorrent for a while now. Very good except cannot block leechers.
And er . . . why would I want to install someting different that i am not familiar with - trasmission wots that?
uT would be really nice

i just fail to see the point right now. i have noticed some people mentioning it 'has potential' but nobody seems to know what kind of potential that is. is it some feature transmission does not have? considerably smaller cpu/memory usage? does it make the leds green? what?
transmission is stable, it's configuration is quite fexible, footprint is bearable and it has decent webui.
of course, to each his own.

Personal preference. Some people use Transmission and are unfamiliar with uTorrent ;)

I always ran uTorrent on my PC before I got my NAS, but Transmission is IMO fantastic.
Never hurts to have options. Both are good products.
This is of course off topic in here since DLink doesn't support either OOTB.
