Title: Which volume should I mount
Post by: moggsajt on October 26, 2010, 03:30:45 AM
Hi,

I am about to mount my NAS in ubuntu, distribution is lucid.

Anyway I have configured my NAS as a RAID1 system with two 1,5Tb disks.
Volume_1 is JBOD and Volume_2 is RAID1.

Which one should I mount, does it matter?

Forgive my ignorance, but how can you have one drive in RAID1?

That's what the NAS states.

I do not know if that correct or not!
My first impression was that this may not be correct?

I reformatted the drives and now I have one RAID1 Volume.

Feels more like how it should be...

Maybe before you didn't allocate all available space for the RAID1 and the leftover was assigned to JBOD.
