How can I get the dlink router to send log files to my gmail account?
I've used smtp.gmail.com as the smtp server, used my name & password to sign into the account;
I'd like to setup a schedule that would upload the log every 2 hours between 9am - 5pm?
Is there a way to test the email setting in the router?
Thanks,
JG

hmm, it doesn't seem to work. I've tried emailing the log from the log page.

Hi JG,
You can't send it from the same Account that you want to receive it at.
Pick one of your Email Accounts to send from and the other to receive it at.

Hmm, I've always sent myself emails using gmail?
Not sure what you mean?

Hi merlin,
Not saying you can't use Gmail to send and receive, just not the same Email Address, because the logs are too large.
Pick one to send from and one to send to.
I used Comcast in the past.
Example:
thecreator2032@comcast.net sending from
thecreator2165@comcast.net sending to.
That's what I mean.

oK, I think I'll have to change the smtp port on the gmail settings.
I'll give it another try.
