Hello,
I have purchased a secondhand dir-655.
Because i had some problems i decided to upgrade the firmware.
I did this wired but unfortunatly it failed ?? and now it is constantly rebooting.
Is there somehow a way to get it working again or can i trow it away ?
Thanks for your answers.

What firmware did the router have and what did you try to upload?

Hello,
I had problems with the dns servers on the wan side of the router.
It did not receive the dns-servers from my cable modem.
A wrt54GL from Linksys worked well and did not have those problems.
The firmware was: DIR-655 A1 Firmware 1.11EUB02
And i tryed to upload: Firmware 1.34NA 5/20/2010
I think the problem is that i uploaded north american firmware while my router is european.
Is there a way to fix this ? (is missed the warning, while downloading the firmware from d-link.com)

You may be able to recover it using this firmware.
DIR-655_fw_reva_121b08_RecoveryFromNA-Firmware.zip (ftp://ftp.dlink.de/dir/dir-655/driver_software/DIR-655_fw_reva_121b08_RecoveryFromNA-Firmware.zip)

Thanks Cobra, but i can't access the router....
Also pressing reset > unplug power > insert power > release reset
doesn't do anything.
Do you have any other suggestions ?
Thanks for you answers so far.
