Title: slow internet and lost connection
Post by: jarg on April 12, 2008, 01:59:03 PM
Hi, i have a DIR-655 and a big problem...  When i turn on, the connection is fast but if they stay on in 30 min. lost the internet speed (i have 12MB) and the connection each 10 min. lost, but go bach. First i think the problem was the router i change some versions of firmware but the problem continues. Today in the store change them for a new one and the problem continues, so i think is something about the configuration. I turn off the traffic shapping and QOS but dont do nothing. Before i have a DI-634 and this one are perfect very fast and stable, now im not very happy about this upgrade.
Somebody help me please
This problem persists in wireless or ethernet.
(my english not good...sorry)

Tanks

Make sure that you are not running any software firewalls as those would also interfere with the setup of the network and check if you have the latest driver on your NIC. if you are not sure weather you are using a latest driver on your NIC, you can change the link speed of the NIC to a different negotiation. Alternate option would be settings up the static DNS on the TCP/IP. How did you determine the loose connection? Please go to command prompt and enter the following command to diagnose your connectivity. (c:/>ping 4.2.2.2 –t)

Hi, i just try the last firmware version of NIC the problem continues. I read in other post the problem can be the firmware, because they block my peers connection, in utorrent i can more than 15 peers when i have di-634 dont have that problem they work fine. I can believe this one more expensive have a problem like this...
