i'm reading up on the specs for the 1522 and trying to figure out if it can work both as a wireless bridge AND repeater? I know it supports the wireless bridge, and can act as an access point, but can it act as a wireless repeater (ie. expand my existing wireless network footprint by repeating the wireless signal)?
I have a DIR-655 in my front office and currently have a Linksys WRT54g running DD-WRT and running in repeater bridge mode, so that 1) my DVR/Xbox/Wii/WD Live that are connected to my TV can access the internet and 2) my wireless network gets a better signal at the rear of the house (the DIR-655 is in the front). The Linksys only supports up to 802.11g & I want to upgrade the bridge/repeater to 802.11n
thanks for any info in advance

No, the DAP works either as a Bridge and you can connect wired devices or itself wired as accesspoint and you can connect wireless devices.
Depending on where you live, you can try DAP-1360 or DAP-1353 as repeater with a significant loss of wireless speed.
