Title: Transformer blown
Post by: HanFox on November 04, 2010, 05:21:03 AM
Yesterday the transformer blew out on my DNS-343.

Tried changing the 3-pin standard plug to other ones thinking it may be the fuse, but now 3 plugs have blown fuses.

Anyway, does anyone know a product (preferably in the UK) that can be used to power the DNS-343?

Due to high amp rating Maplin doesn't have anything.

The power rating is 19v/7.89amps.

Thanks for any help.

The D-Link site contains a page in the support section for "Purchasing Spare Parts".  There's an email form with a drop down list for the model number.  See the "PURCHASING SPARE PARTS" link on this page:

The equivalent of that page isn't on the UK version of the site, but I tried via the US bit.

See what they say, I guess.

Thanks.

Please let us know if/when they respond. . . I'm also curious if the pricing is reasonable.

Well 14 days on no response from Dlink.

Can anyone confirm (who has a good eye, I guess) if the diameter of the input plug to the NAS is 2.5mm inner and 5.5mm outer? May just have to chance a different adapter.
