Title: Limited speed in DIR 615
Post by: edugalt on November 09, 2010, 10:17:23 AM
My DIR-615 worked fine for two days, but from there on I have extremely limited speed throught the wireless connection. Internet speed using the cable (through the router) is stable at 5.5 MBps, close to what is promissed by my provider. Throught the wireless I have never more than 200 kbps, sometimes less than 20 kbps. This happens in different laptops and smartphones, also when only one of them is connected. Large delays are also appearing intermittently. I've tried changing the channel, but it didn't help much. Using my notebook to generate the wireless network I get much better and stable speeds (around 3MBps).

Any ideas why this could be happening?

Thanks in advance.

My Firmware-Version : 4.10 ,

Are you manually choosing a speed?  I had a problem where my laptops would connect at G speeds even if i manually set it to N.  But when i put it back to Mixed mode it picked up N and now i'm getting great speeds.

So if you've manually choosen a speed pu ti back to mixed and see if that helps
