Title: DNS and new Apple TV

I've been kicking around the idea of getting a new Apple TV.  I've just been wondering if any one know if it will recognize my DNS-323 and allow me to stream from it.

I know someone who has this working, but they have the iTunes server in the 323 enabled. I'm wondering if it can access the SMB shares instead of using the iTunes server?
