Title: DFL-860 no seperate LAN interfaces (LAN1, LAN2 ... LAN7)
Post by: Geoffrey on November 17, 2010, 12:19:02 AM
Hello,

We experience the following problem with our Netdefend DFL-860 firewall:

we have 7 LAN interfaces, but in the webinterface they appear all together as one LAN. There are also 2 WAN interfaces, but those do appear as WAN1 & WAN2.

This is very annoying as now we can't define seperate LAN on each single interface.

According to the manual, those LAN interfaces should appear as LAN1, LAN2 ... LAN7.

What can we do tho fix this problem?

Thanks a lot for any advice!!

 :)

DFL-860 has only 1 LAN interface. Maybe you mean VLAN ?

DFL-860 has only 4 physical interfaces. WAN1, WAN2, DMZ and LAN (7 ethernet switch ports).

DFL-860 supports up to 16 Vlans interfaces but you need to have a L2 switch.

What you can do you can create as many network range as you want by using IP alias and publish as many network you need on any physical interfaces.
