Title: Use as plain enclosure
Post by: al bundy on November 17, 2010, 08:40:16 AM
Is there anyway to use this as a straight drive enclosure?

As it won't carry windows security across, I was wondering if I can just have the drives appear as just drives, and let windows use its software raid.

this way my AD security would work

Thanks

In a word, no. :)

The drives in the NAS must be accessed through its network interface and by its operating system (Linux)
