Title: Lan setup: need help - XP PC seeing my Ubuntu PC but not the other way around

I have 2 pc connected to my DIR-601 (XP, Ubuntu), no filters at all, no routing, nothing to change network flow, both PCs access Internet.

My XP PC is able to see the Ubuntu PC.
My Ubuntu PC does not see my XP PC at all. Ping is unreachable.

How can I have both PC be able to see each other ?

I see in this particular forum that lots of people read the threads but almost no one answers them.

Is this forum dead ?

Are there people dedicated to answer these forum because from the looks of it, there aren't any ?
