Title: Several DAP-1360 working together
Post by: marta36203 on November 23, 2010, 08:19:19 AM
Hi, I have a DAP-1360 repeater extending my wireless network and I am thinking in using a second one (also as a repeater) for extra extension.
Anybody knows if it is possible to use two repeaters in the same LAN?

Thank you in advanced.

You should be able to. However, I am not 100% sure if you can connect one repeater after the other. Practically, I think you need to connect each repeater with the main router device connecting to the internet.

Also make sure that the standard IP address of the DAP-1360, may not exist more than once in a network. So use 192.168.0.51 for the second.

Good luck

It does not sound like a good idea.

From bitter experience I have found that it's much better to run a network cable and add an additional access point, rather than trying to chain repeaters/extenders.

Plus, there are a lot of problems with the DAP-1360, you'll see that this forum is plastered with them.

good luck
