Title: constatly getting disconnected.
Post by: kwang0429 on November 26, 2010, 09:26:35 PM
So I have the DL-4500 on the latest firmware ( Firmware Version : 1.23NA )  and I am using MAC Address filtering for all my wireless or wired connections, when I started to start steaming netflix over the internet and have some downloads going on at the same time, the router somehow wouldn't response, and when I try to fix the connection at windows it says DNS server not responding, and when I look at my time warner cable modem, I only get received packages but none send at all. this happens like 2 to 3 times a day, anyone running into the similiar problem ?

a quick log

What happens if you don't use Mac Filtering at all?

I would recommend you review the Gaming and Gamefuel sticky as it has some good setup instructions for this router. Even though you don't have to set a gamefuel rule, I would setup static IPs for your connected devices and see if by using this process helps clear up some disconnections. I use these on my system aside the fact that I don't use Mac Filtering. I have cable and stream Netflix to either of my 2 xboxes with out issues. Let us know how it goes.
