Title: Unable to connect to D-Link on my Macintosh
Post by: bigwiger on December 02, 2010, 02:46:39 AM
Hey,

I'm running OS X 10.6.4 with a wireless N card (TP-Link WL TL-WN781N). At my old place, I used to get internet perfectly with the Linksys router my friends had running. Now, my computer can find the router (WPA password protected) but when I type in the password the computer is unable to make a connection, and defaults to self-assigning an IP address.

I did a search for this and found that back in 2008 Mac owners were having the same problem with the same router model. From what I gathered, D-Link was blaming the OS (then Leopard) and Macintosh was blaming D-Link. There was never any resolve.

Anyhow, figured I post this here and see if anyone might be able to point me in the right direction. Thanks.
