Title: ? Basic steps for USB External HD
Post by: b3zra1y on December 05, 2010, 12:59:17 PM
So - I bought a DLInk 655.
And I want to connect my 250GB buffalo external hard disk to the USB port.

I see a bunch of stuff about Shareport, etc.
But I'm looking for the basic steps of how to access the external drive from 2 of my home machines.

I have a Windows 7 machine, and an Ubuntu machine.

THANKS

I don't use Shareport, but as far as I know there is only support for PC and Mac and the drive can be accessed by only one machine at a time.  There is a dedicated forum for Shareport that may be more useful to you.
