After a system reset my DIR-615 E1 insisted on a firmware upgrade. I did so, same FW I used early this year, and now I see the globe light and all four Ethernet ports lit, no WiFi light, and the thing is unresponsive to my browser at 192.168.0.1, where it had been before.
Repeated resets and power cycles have had no affect.
Did I just brick my poor WiFi router?

As far as I can tell there's only one firmware available for E1 and that's 5.00NA. There's also a 5.10NA, but that's for E3 only.
First obtain the firmware from here: ftp://ftp.dlink.com/Gateway/dir615_revE/Firmware/dir615_revE_fw_500NA.zip
Second step is to go into the emergency mode.
To access the Emergency Room Web interface follow these steps:
- Unplug the router's power cord and wait 20 seconds.
- Get a pin, push the RESET button and KEEP IT PRESSED.
- Connect the power cord back (while still keeping the reset button pressed)
- Keep the reset button pressed for an additional 5 seconds after connecting power cord and then release. At this point you should see the power button blinking orange.
- Connect over a WIRED connection to the router and set your network adapter IP MANUALLY to 192.168.0.2
- Open http://192.168.0.1 in a browser. You should see a white page with a Browse and Upload button.
The "set your IP manually" part is very important.
Upload the .bin and wait for everything to finish. Good luck.[/list]

Were you able to get the router working? I am also having trouble after tried to change firmware to DD-WRT, now only Globe & 4 LAN ports are light up and cannot reset.
