I'm not sure where to start here. I'm suffering from quite slow transfer speeds to my d-link DNS-321 via my d-link DIR-628. Here's my setup:
- Machine: Windows 7 x64 w/ Intel Wifi Link 5100. Latest Intel drivers.
- Router: D-Link DIR-628
- NAS: D-Link DNS-321
Transfer speeds to the D-Link DNS-321 over LAN are about 9-10MB/s. Transfer speeds to the D-Link DNS-321 over WAN are about 800kb/s. Other folks blog about getting upper teen transfer speeds tot the D-Link DNS-321 and I'm getting close to that over LAN. I don't have a desktop so transferring files to the DNS-321 over LAN is somewhat cumbersome. I'd like to be able to get faster transfer speeds over WAN. It's hard to tell if my internet connection would potentially be a problem since I only have 1MB service so I'm not going to say it should be a factor here. I'm thinking that at this point, it's the router causing the bottleneck. I've tried seemingly everything...
- Updated firmware on the router (Firmware Version: 1.24NA, 2010/04/12)
- Updated drivers on the laptop wireless card
- Setup the wireless to operate on 802.11g and 802.11b
- Turned on Traffic Shaping
- Enabled QoS
- Disabled UPnP
- Set the WAN Port Speed to 10MB/s
I don't know what else to try. I'm looking for suggestions on what to do next (besides getting/trying a new router.) The D-Link DNS-321 is pretty useless if I can't get 5 >MB/s transfer speeds.
Thanks!

What wireless mode are you using on the 628 router?
Are all drivers updated for the Wireless devices?
