Title: Advanced routing on my DIR-655.
Post by: brafi on December 12, 2010, 05:39:35 AM
Hi.

My neighbours and I have to share some services on my server.
Our network is build like this: http://brafi.dk/dir-655/net.jpg (http://brafi.dk/dir-655/net.jpg)
(The network, left for the DI-524 i my network and my neighbours on the right.)

My old router had "advanced routing" so I could route all traffic to and from 192.168.1.x to the DI-524.

How can I do this on the DIR-655?

In the "advanced" -> "routing" I get this error: http://brafi.dk/dir-655/routing.jpg (http://brafi.dk/dir-655/routing.jpg)
What am I doing wrong?

Seems that you MUST have both roters in same subnet to work.
EG: 192.168.1.2    192.168.1.3  255.255.255.0  GW: 192.168.1.252
OR 10.10.10.1   10.10.10.2   255.255.255.0 GW: 10.10.10.252

Is it not possible at all, to do this with 2 different networks?

But with DIR-655 you can't. All must be in same subnet.
