Title: 2.4 & 5 ghz setup

I have ordered a sony s570 wireless blu ray to stream netflix wirelessly. My question is, will my dir-628 automatically select 5ghz band? Do I have to set it manually? My laptop is wireless g only.

NO, the DIR-628 router needs to be set to either the 2.4GHz or the 5.0GHz radio from inside the configuration pages.  It will not use both radios at the same time and the 5.0GHz is not 11G compatible.
