Title: Access Control - Media Server
Post by: drchipster on December 12, 2010, 10:20:03 PM
I want to use my DNS-321 as a media server for my family.  I want to restrict my daughter's access to her movie folder only.  How do I do it?  Network Access seems to control access through the network (i.e. mapping drive, etc.)  When accessing through a media player (WDTV Live) everything is wide open.
thanks,

Under Network Access you can create a user with restricted access to a specific directory hierarchy.  Not having used the WDTV Live, I assume you can manually configure the WDTV Live network shares and include specific DNS-321 user groups (and simply exclude others you don't want to publish).
