Title: ogg being served without tags
Post by: pschimpf on December 12, 2010, 11:41:44 PM
Just started up my DNS-323 uPnP server (for my WD TV) and discovered that while I get tags for mp3 files, the tags for all my ogg files are not being parsed.  As a consequence, for example, I can't see any of my ogg files if I browse by genre.  Any chance this will be fixed soon?  Otherwise I have a LOT of ogg to mp3 converstion to queue up.
Title: arbitrary genre tags not allowed

I have to modify my earlier post.  Turns out this has nothing to do with ogg vs. mp3.  Apparently only certain genre tag values are allowed.  Rock works. Funk works. Christmas, Xmas, and Hoilday are all changed by the uPnP server to Other.  WTH?  Are only certain Artist and Album tag values allowed as well?  Why is this, and will it be fixed anytime soon?  Arbitrary genre tags need to be supported.
