Title: VoIP total priority
Post by: fgl30 on May 19, 2008, 05:36:15 PM
I use VoIP intensely (SIP and Skype). I have a wired ATA (Grandstream HT-502)  for SIP accounts, a SMC Skype wireless phone and a Skype USB-to-analog phone adapter plugged in my router/PC. What I want is: when I use one of these devices, it will be all available band... no matter if someone is surfing or Emule is running... VoIP devices must be total "attention" from router... I already made QoS rules with priority scheme... but I donīt think this is really what I want... is there any other way to get what I want? Thx in advance

QoS is the only prioritization implementation on that router. There is no way for the router to make VoIP "Total Priority" unless you configure it that way.

And could you Lycan, please, give a "step-by-step how to do it"?
