Title: 100.0mbps , 1.0Gbps Issue Help

Im Running My DIR-655 With The Following Specs
Firmware Version: 1.11 Hardware Version: A2
Windows XP Pro SP3

Today I Had To Power cycle both modem and router becuase i was having a lag issue. so i noticed today that when i went to network connections my  internet connection status under speed use to always say 1.0Gbps always now it says 100.0 mbps how do i get it back to where it use to be?

What is the model number of your NIC? Have you updated the NIC driver yet? I guess you've selected the auto negotiation for your link speed. Try forcing the NIC link speed to 1G. Try different NIC speed.

Most nics only have 10 100 and auto. Thats odd. Do you have any other gigabit nics or PCs in the network? Are they workign properly?

Uninstall the network driver and reboot the PC and Vista or XP will re-install the driver, if not then you need to make sure you have the most current driver for your network card.

It's either the driver is corrupt or the router has stop auto-negotiating properly.
