				Hi,

I have two problems with dvr-ms files (files produced by Windows Media Center)
My dvr-ms files are created from DVB-T stream
The test was done with an USB flash drive
 DSM-510, firmware version 1.07PAL
 Output HDMI 1080i

 1) Problem with sound synchronization. The shift change from playback to playback (even with the same file).
You can download a small file to reproduce this problem here
 http://tmp.m4f.eu/dsm-510/dvbt-sync.dvr-ms (6.6 MB)
(I'll remove the files from the server in two weeks)

 2) Problem with system freeze. After a freeze, that can survive any time during playback, sometime I can resume, in this case the playback freeze 1 second, resume fast, freeze...
You can download a very big file to reproduce this problem here (usually after 1 hour playback)
 http://tmp.m4f.eu/dsm-510/dvbt-freeze.dvr-ms (2.40 GB)
(I'll remove the files from the server in two weeks)

Can you forward these info to firmware dev team?

No download for my files !?
Ok, this is the last time I buy DLink product. I own two other product also having problems, but who cares?

I am very sorry but we are already currently looking into this issue with DVR-ms file playback. For the time being I would recommend recoding to mpeg or mpeg2 formats from DVR-ms.

My dvr-ms files are already MPEG2, DVB-T in France is MPEG2 for SD and will be MPEG4 for HD.

 Cheer,

I am also suffering from this bug.  Is there an update as to status and a date when it will be fixed?

I purchased a DSM-510 mainly because it would reply DVR-MS files. Recoding to MPG is not practical as the idea was the family could watch media centre programs on a TV in another room.

If you are unable to resolve this problem in a timely manner I suggest you offer a trade-in for DSM-510 owners to obtain a media centre extender.

 Regards

 Paul
