Can I use DAP-1522 to connect a media player to the wireless N network provided by the DIR-655?

Yes.. That WDS is how I have mine setup in the kitchen/dinning room with my network media player.

I have a DAP-1522 (bridge mode) connected via wireless N to the DIR-655 for a
ReplayTV PVR and this setup works great.
