Title: DNS-323 streaming to XBOX360 with out internal hacking.
Post by: itz420 on June 12, 2008, 08:28:21 AM
I have been searching for a program that would stream media from my DNS-323 to my XBOX360 and I have found the answer. The Winamp Remote program does a great job if you port forward correctly. I'm not sure if anyone knew this all ready, but there you have it. ;D

Port forwarding won't be an issue, unless you are moving traffic across the WAN..... If you are streaming files from a DNS-323 to a 360 in the same LAN, port forwarding won't be an issue. Port forwarding (I am fairly certain... brain a bit fuzzy now) is used in situations where you have NAT (Network Address Translation) working... or.... 1 IP address from the ISP, and many computers behind a router. Good find though.
