				Hello Everyone

I just bought my new DIR 655 and love it..Much better range but and there is always a but..

Under the remote admin part of the router under tools.  I go to the bottom of the page and enable remote admin with port 8080 assigned with allow all.

I have setup my free DDNS acct with dlinkddns.com  The Funny thing is i can ping my computer from a windows cmd prompt but when i enable wan ping inside the router i am unable to ping my ddns.com from an explorer or FF.

Could someone please help me --do i need to open a port?  tried to connect and all i get is NEtwork Timed out. -check out the photo below...

I was at work tonight and i tried once again- and now it is working Lycan...Don't know what i was doing wrong or if it was the beta SW or what...

 BUT IT IS WORKING.  :)

				What are you hosting?

I would Like to setup a server so i dont have to PAY for services anymore from go-daddy.  I have a small business in Professional Home Inspections in which i operate and run.  I thought I could set up a server and not have to rely on go-daddy anymore for services.

BUT --I would really like to get this setup on a NAS on the other side of the Router.  Which would always be on.  Looking at the Apache server SW.

 What do you think?

Oh and BTW Lycan--do you work for D-link?  If so Thank you for all your help...

The only thing i have found with d-link and which i really didn't like was the Customer service i got when i called into D-link.  I usually found the other person had half broken english and I could tell she didnt know her head from a hole in the ground.  and thats putting it nicely.

Otherwise D-link Products are fantastic as long as you don't have to call CS.

Like I said Lycan you have been a great resource and help and I do appreciate it.
