Title: What's is in the firmware?

What software support is really in the firmware? I take it that it must inclued some types of media decoder, right?

Can the firmware be modfy by the user and if so, what software would I need to access and edit the file? I know, I would probly VOID warranty and all that other good stuff. I just want to work on something and hope to hand over to dlink for their approval for distribution.

The firmware cannot be modified by a user. As for what is in the firmware? I dont know.

Most of these devices run a Linux distribution like busybox.
