Title: DIR-855 Internet Problem
Post by: hydralisk135 on December 21, 2010, 09:36:19 PM
My internet has been going completely out or been very slow and the way I have been fixing it is to unplug and replug the router. Sometimes I cannot even log into the router and check the status. The thing is, even though my internet is slow or not working, I still can play World of Warcraft. What is wrong with my router?

sounds not good, do a factory reset and if not on latest firmware update this as well.

I've done the factory reset and my router does have the latest firmware. Is there anything else I can do?

Update: Also, I looked at the logs on my router. It says packet dropped and unable to create a new session

What is your ISP service? DSL or Cable? There a internal router included in the DSL or Cable modem by chance? How are you connecting to the router? Wired or Wireless? If wireless, have you tried Single G mode only at 2.4GHz as a test?
