Title: Can I use the DIR-655 system settings on my new DIR-855 ?
Post by: Frode.N on December 24, 2010, 05:25:36 AM
I've got a DIR-655.

Connected to this, I've got 2 switches + one DAP-1522 (all from D-link).

I've now "upgraded" to DIR-855 and have a "problem"..
I'd like to use the same settings on my new 855, as I had on my old 655'.
(almost Tom Waits  ;D)

Iv'e saved the DIR-655 system settings on my harddrive..

Can I load these into the DIR-855 via 192.168.0.1 (Load from local HD) ?
Or.. won't DIR-855 respond to this, even crash?
 ???

No, you have to configure your new router manually.
It won't accept settings file from a different device.

Now I can lay that idea to rest..  8)
