Title: DIR-625 Ports Not Connecting
Post by: captmike on July 15, 2008, 09:52:45 PM
Configured the 625 with a DSL connection and I can only connect to the Internet via a wireless connection but the local ports will not connect to the Internet.  I can ping locally and reach the router via Cat 5, but not to cyberspace.  Had a prior Dlink wireless router and all was fine until this new unit.  Have reset, reinstalled, and followed all directions but I am stumped as to why wireless notebooks hit the Internet but not any of the computers connected via Cat 5?  Thanks for any help.

Check any / all software firewalls settings.  Some may be configured to block the router's IP address (aka your network gateway access.)
