Can someone answer my question towards setting up a ext HD (USB) with the DIR 655 router, i had a post under the router but they suggest to post it here...
http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=19789.0
Issue is, I just have SHAREPORT UTILITY installed on PC, and i could see the ext HD behind the router (saying available) but when i click on 'connect"
it thinks for a while and go back to available.
Router: DIR655
FIRMWARE: A3 , 1.35NA
under setup tab> USB settings>my USb type is: SHAREPORT (not WCN config..).
then rebooted the router, still its not connecting...
im the ADMIN on the router, any thoughts ?
thanks in advance!

tthava - This won't be very helpful, but I too am having the same issue. I can connect my HD directly to my PC and can access the drive; however, on the router same thing "Available" but never connects. In the logs I get the following messages.
