I just set up the dir-655 yesterday. My actiontec modem uses 192.168.0.1 for the ip address, so to avoid a conflict I changed the dir-655 ip address to 192.168.1.1.
With my old Linksys router, I was able to see the modem in the browser, now I am unable to see it.
Any suggestions?
Thanks ???

Try just typing "dlinkrouter" in the address bar.
It sounds like you are going through a double NAT. You may have to config the modem to pass the WAN IP address. I had to do this for a customer that uses ATT DSL with the Motorola Modem.

Thanks for the information. dlinkrouter brings up the router; I can do that with the ip address of the router.
I plugged the modem directly into my pc and can see the modem. Not sure how to pass the wan IP. Nothing was apparent. I am using Qwest and ppoe (?). As long as I have a work-around it is ok as is.

you can often set the dsl modem for bypass mode and use the DIR-655 for the PPPoE login to your ISP....
